Chromosome studies of 8 in vitro lines of Burkitt's lymphoma.

Of 8 Burkitt lymphoma lines, 4 had classically diploid stemlines, Ogun and Kudi being female, and Raji and EB3, male. EB2 was diploid but with an abnormal near-metacentric marker. SLi was diploid but with 3 markers. EB1 was subdiploid. Jiyoye was normal male except for trisomy for a 6-12 -fX chromosome. As compared with benign cells, the lines tended to show a high incidence of aberration including markers, multiradials, and pulverized metaphase figures.
